  • Cynthia Dobbs | Session SPEAKER

    Born twelve time zones away from her current home in Oklahoma, Cynthia shares an understanding and reliance on the Lord forged through unique experiences. Her incredible story weaves through a childhood growing up in India, losing her mother at a young age, life at boarding school, accompanying her father (a diplomat to the United Nations) on assignment to America, adjusting to the ‘Cowboy’ culture of Oklahoma, and graduate work in Biochemistry. Her story is the backdrop for the message of hope and encouragement she shares in a thought-provoking and relatable way. 


    Cynthia serves on the Oklahoma Network team as Director is the Network of Women Ministers, and is a US missionary on staff with Tulsa Chi Alpha. She often speaks at special events and conferences through engaging, informed, and inspirational messages. She provides training in areas of Prayer, Spiritual Warfare, Spiritual Disciplines, Discipleship, and Leadership. Cynthia is the author of numerous devotional and ministry resources, perhaps most notably Ramen Noodles for the Collegiate Soul. She has contributed to the Bible Engagement Project’s adult curriculum.  Her work has been featured in publications as varied as New York’s Voice of the Voiceless and Guideposts Magazine.

     

    Cynthia was listed as one of the “20 Amazing Women Featured in Guideposts” along with luminaries like Dolly Parton, Serena Williams, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Douglas, Jennifer Hudson, Glenn Close, and Ginger Zee (to name a few) whose pictures also graced the cover. 

     

    In recent years, she has trained ministers through the Network of Women Ministers, Chi Alpha and other international ministry organizations. She is passionate about preparing the next generation of leaders, especially women. 

     

    She resides with her husband Destry and their son Obadiah in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They enjoy life with the students of Tulsa Chi Alpha over good coffee, great food, and board games.

  • Michelle parks | Conference Host

    Michelle is mom, pastor's wife, and teacher. She is passionate about education, social justice, and the love of Jesus. She serves with her husband, Andy, at Cross Point Church where they work to follow the biblical mandate to love God and love people.  Michelle is a Kansas girl, and she loves Kansas sunsets, wheat fields, and the wide open sky that is perfect for stargazing. Her favorite pastimes include spending time with family, reading, and soaking up the beautiful outdoors.

What time does the conference start?

A: Unified Conference is a one-day conference that will begin at 9AM and last until 3PM. The doors will open at 8:30AM.


How much does the conference cost and what are the deadlines?


A: Registration for Cross Point Members/regular attendees is $40 through January 18th.  After January 18th cost is $50 for Cross Point members/regular attendees. The cost is $50 per person for those who do not attend Cross Point. Registration closes February 8th. We suggest registering early to secure your spot!



What is my ticket into the conference?

A: Your ticket into the conference will be a personalized lanyard that you can pick up at the Connection Center February 1st-18th, or the day of the conference at the Connection Center.



What all does my registration cost cover?

A: Your registration includes

  • A light breakfast
  • Admission to all sessions
  • Lunch
  • A gift


What will we have for lunch?

A: We'll be providing boxed lunches. When you register, you'll be able to pick between Turkey Sandwich, Ham Sandwich, or a garden salad w/ chicken (gluten free option). Other light snacks will be available throughout the day.



Is there a refund policy? 

A: Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide refunds. 



Will there be special conference merchandise to purchase?

A: Yes! We love our conference merch! There will be a variety of apparel items and fun accessories to purchase from $5-$30. So come prepared to grab some special items for you and a friend.



Is there childcare available?

A: Yes! Childcare is $15 per child (includes lunch, snacks, and fun activities). Ages 6 months to age 10 welcome.

*Be sure to include them in your registration form as any unregistered child cannot attend with a parent.



Can I bring my baby with me?

A: Your baby is welcome at Unified! Our nursing mothers' room will be open throughout the conference where you and your baby (newborn-one year) can sit back, relax, and share the conference sessions on screen with other mommies!



What should I wear? 

A: No matter who you are or where you’ve been, you are welcome at Unified Conference. We dress casually, so come as you are and experience what God has for you in a comfortable and inviting environment.



What if I need special assistance?
